Handbuilt and carved in stoneware, hand-painted with underglaze, finished with glossy Clear Glaze and embellished with24k Gold Luster*. There is a maker's mark on the bottom side. 

The Hamsa symbol (aka the Hand of Fatima or Hand of Miriam) is an important symbol in Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, and Hinduism and represents many different meanings with the most prominent being;

Protection, Power and Strength

It is believed to protect against the evil eye and all negative energies. The three inner fingers are decorated with a small sun, moon and star highlighted with gold luster.
